Dining on Schezuan food last night we opened up this bottle of Stag's Hollow Renaissance Merlot 2004. At first I wondered if we needed a chilled white wine to calm the peppers in our Shanghai noodles. After a few mouthfuls I left those doubts behind and enjoyed this well-balanced BC red.
